Hello hotties!

So does anybody know any great films/documentaries/videoclips/video interviews concerning fashion and designers?

I've lately just become really interested in learning more about the fashion industry in its whole and the work of the designers through the years. I would be really glad if you could help me out. :D

It doesn't really matter if it's up to date, as long as it's facts and not fiction. :)

Thanks!

Sundance channel has two. One is called: The day Before, it shows backstage footage from fashion week and whichever designer they're showing tells the story behind what they've created. Also there's a new one in the works.. it's actually a reality show starring Joe Zee from Elle its Called All On The Line. It sounds like it may be good.

Here are some movies not necessarily about designers themselves but full of great costumes and outfits: Breakfast at Tiffany's, Almost Famous, The Notebook, Marie Antoinette, Sex and the City, Annie Hall, 500 Days of Summer. Hope this helps!

THese might have already been said but I saw "Valentino, the Last emperor" and "Seamless". "The September Issue" isn't directly about fashion design but it is about the fashion industry so i still found it interesting. I really want to see "the Lagerfeld Confidential" but it's not on Netflix on Demand :-)

Definitely The september issue is an inspiring movie.
Also there's this movie about model Gia Carangi that's fairly interesting.
I will check my "To download" list haha.

I didnt see anyone mentioning The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (French: Le scaphandre et le papillon), 2007. It´s based on a true story of Elle editor who suffers a stroke and is paralyzed. There isnt so much fashion in it, but the movie for me is really wonderful, highly recommend it :)

I adored The Devil Wears Prada, simply for the "possibly" over-exagerated looks on fashion and the world of Haute Couture. In contrast, The September issue showed something very real but also totally out of this world, by portraying the daily lives of Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley and Grace Coddington. For any glam lovers these are parfait

Have to admit as well, just watching the fashion on Gossip Girl is like watching a multiple designer runway

Shoppaholic .. just watched this film, because my friend and me went in a wrong film, so we had to look Shoppaholic :b
but in the end, in my opinion, it was a very cool movie about fashion featured with comedy .. :b
